Thematics, Gold. ★★. The most extraordinary stock of mostly miniature sheets housed in one thick large volume, mint and used with virtually having gold foil used in the printing process. Many of these miniature sheets especially of the 1970s have extremely low printing numbers and the new issue cost was up to $50 each at the time! There are at least 300 items here with themes such as Olympics, steam trains, space exploration, horses, religion especially Madonna, paintings many Rubenesque, etc. Virtually everything seems to be in complete sets and while the used present – about 10% of the lot – is cancelled to order, the new issue cost runs into tens of thousands of dollars. Virtually everything is from Equatorial Guinea, try to find these gold issues on the internet!
