Old time collection housed on quadrille album leaves in far better condition than normally encountered, beginning with Van Diemen's Land with the chalon types imperfs x10, then the second design chalon imperf and perf, etc. Then further chalons this time Queensland with mint as well as used with 2 dozen or so examples to research, similarly excellent Victoria beginning with the first imperf issues 1d and 3d and the half lengths 1d and 6d through to further good QV, especially mint definitives and postage dues, ending with excellent South Australia, perf and imperf chalons (even a little Sarawak and PEI for good measure). In our opinion, the catalogue here will easily run in to five figures, last priced in 1965.
