Ireland. ★★. A specialised range of several 100s stamps, all MNH, primarily focused on the definitives, although from the 1940s onwards, the main part is the 1960s to early 1970s. Some of the categories noticed inc plate blocks but also gutterpairs, coils and se-tenants. Apart from distinguishing between watermarked and unwatermarked, there are also pound high value blocks, both castles and cathedrals, as well as birds to high values in sterling and decimal. Some of the earlier booklet panes and also worth investigating including inverted watermarks, etc. Please inspect carefully, so much more here than this outline description. Show less

A remarkable collection of about 125 items, many privately sanctioned from the Irish Postal authorities to the local collecting clubs from the 1970s onwards with booklets specifically for Cork, Sligo, Dundalk, Laoth, Galway, etc. As far as we can see all are different. Collection continues to the national issues, both sterling and euro with themes such as Irish buses, 'Love is', Christmas, Parliamentary democracy, tall ships, classic motorcars, Nobel prize, various sport teams of the millennium, etc. Comprehensive in scope and some of these 'private' booklets have extremely low printing numbers. Postal stationery collection, mint and used inc registered from the 1920s from places such as Birr, Kilkee, Drumnacool through to the early 1940s such as Leckaun, Cross (County Clare), etc. There are 5d, 5 1/2d and 9d denominations, as well as provisional o/p 1923 penny Free State bookpost through to newspaper wrappers with denominations such as 1 1/2d, 2d, 3d, 4d, 8d in uniformly excellent condition.
