Förordningen om ett nytt mot tio francs svarande guldmynt gavs på Stockholms slott den 31 juli 1868. Riksdagen hade redan i februari samma år bifallit Kongl. Maj:ts proposition om att dukater hädanefter skulle utmyntas i "twänne särskilda myntstycken, ett af det guldwärde och den wigt, som noggrannt motsvarade det af Belgien, Frankrike, Italien och Schweiz genom mynt-konvention ... antagna tiofrancsstycket, och ett af det guldwärde och den wigt, som, med tillämpning af samma konventions bestämmelser, noggrannt motsvarade tjugofem francs ..." Vi kan konstatera att något guldmynt med valören 25 francs aldrig präglats i Sverige! 01.

The ordinance concerning a new coin of 10 franc equivalent was given at Stockholm Castle on 31 July 1868. The Parliament had already in February the same year the King's proposition that ducats should hereafter be coined in (free translation): "two different coins, one of the gold value and weight, that carefully equated that of Belgium, France, Italy and Switzerland through the coin convention ... assumed ten francs piece, and one of that gold value and that weight, which, by the regulations of the same convention, carefully corresponding to 25 francs ..." We can see that the minting of 25 francs coinage never happened in Sweden!
