Also present material unlisted in the catalogues, often in the added pages. The 20th century also comprehensive with many scarce items, not just in the obvious definitive and commemorative sets, also good o/ps and varieties, etc. A collection that gets better and better on each close inspection with much more here than described, it will delight the specialist with distinct possibility of discoveries. Warning that as usual there are many fake stamps, and reprints. Somewhat mixed quality. Show less

South Africa, Cape of Good Hope. Used. Charming collection housed on album leaves with a dozen triangles incl. a 4d Woodblock with thin spot SG #14 cat £2750. The other eleven examples include the blue paper 1d deep brick red and the 4d again on blued, 3× different shades incl. different printings of the 1d, all decent with margins, very probably SG #5, #5a, #18, as well as penny with revenue manuscript cancels, as well as a 4d steel blue, SG #19c cat £500, 2x further 6ds, probably SG #7 and #20 cat £625, 2x further 1/- incl. emerald green SG #8 and #21 min cat £550 and £750, then the sitting hopes virtually complete with nearly all the different types to Edward VII to 5/- mint and used complete. Very minimum catatalogue on this strong Cape of Good Hope collection is £8000. Mixed quality. Show less
