Macau. ★★. "I have the simplest of tastes" said Oscar Wilde "I like nothing but the best", he would have been well pleased with this collection which is essentially MNH complete as bought in on a new issue service, including all the good sets such as the 1977 legislator, the 1983 flowers and m/s, the 1984 centenary set and m/s, 1985 butterflies set and m/s, the very seldom seen 1986 musical instruments set and m/s and the even scarcer 1987 fans set and m/s, etc all housed in a well filled lighthouse album from 1976 through to the late 1990s, as well as back of the book postal tax stamps. Some of these sets have a huge catalogue and makes a much recommended viewing, we estimate the catalogue in the order of 10000 euro, probably more. Perfection. Show less

Mauritius. ★★/★/⊙. Very interesting material, formed over many years of stripping down worldwide collections, primarily with value in the QV and EDVII issues, on to QEII and a little back of the book. The quality is uniformly excellent and of the 100s of stamps here, virtually everything has been identified on a Michel basis, so there is the distinct possibility of inverted wmks and other finds to be made when studied carefully, allowing enough time with a Gibbons. The holding is mint and used with a dozen classic tridents followed by several dozen further QV to higher values with some beautiful circular date stamps present, as well as light diamond cancels. The 20th century also strong in excellent quality. If this is your bailiwick, you will very much enjoy this viewing, finds are highly likely. Show less

Poland. ★★/★/⊙. Grandfathers' collection including the genuine 5 and 10 o/ps mint pair on the 1919 Germania types, otherwise known as the Posen issues, both stamps with expertisation marks on reverse. Also the 1918 Poland in transition and 1919 horseman definitive issues, very well filled, often parallel mint and used with occasional outside of the box, through to the inflationary period, leading to the 1924 defins and then for the most part well filled pages through to the 1930s, inc m/s such as the purple stratosphere MNH, ending with a range of the Teschen plebiscite issues, seemingly complete, as well as Upper Silesia. A lovely collection that gets better on each inspection, a much recommended viewing for the Poland specialist. Some * stamps mounted with damaging hinges, but most are OK. Show less
