Lot 2008 P

Manuscripts, Sweden. ADOLF FREDRIK (1710–1751–1771), King of Sweden. Letter content about a pension fund and dated Stockholm in the council chamber November 20, 1761, stamped "Adolph Friedrich". The use of a royal name stamp was earlier done under the previous Swedish king as he went old and was not in good health. The Parliament gave from May 26, 1756 the council right to use the name stamp to also sign government decisions which Adolf Fredrik refused to sign. For signature reference is also enclosed a letter in German signed by Adolf Fredrik 1741 (before his election as Swedish Crown Prince). Scarce item in good quality!
